START WITH YOUR BASE

Hot springs near a city.

Choose a starting point and a visit that fits your plans. Eight city guides compare selected options in detail, including Vancouver and Calgary.

A map is only the start.

City guides use curated venue selections, not a fixed driving radius. Vancouver has two supported choices, including a multi-day Vancouver Island trip; closed and private-only venues are discussed separately rather than added as recommendations. Unverified pins have no numeric distance. Mountains, road closures and trail approaches can make a journey much longer; follow current official directions.

Hot springs near Denver, Colorado.

Start with the kind of day you can actually plan. Idaho Springs offers a developed bathing stop; Hot Sulphur Springs has walk-in public pools; Mount Princeton is a separate Nathrop mountain outing. These are three different destinations, not interchangeable stops on one short loop. Choose the bath and admission arrangement first, then check the road route from Denver for your travel date.

Hot springs near Boise, Idaho.

Choose between a reserved managed soak, an exclusive group pool and a natural riverside setting. The Springs at Idaho City, Roystone and Kirkham require different planning even though they are all searched from a Boise base. A reservation at one property does not cover the others; roadworks, rough approaches and missing tariff information are shown alongside the options.

Hot springs near Portland, Oregon.

The useful choice is not simply Oregon versus Washington. Carson offers an adults-only bathhouse and therapy pool across the state line; Breitenbush is a reserved day retreat with clothing-optional soaking; Belknap limits walk-in visitors to an hourly pool visit. Compare these rules before choosing a route from Portland. The more distant forest destinations deserve their own travel plan.

Hot springs near Seattle, Washington.

A Seattle search brings together very different outings: Goldmyer is a permit-managed wilderness visit with a hike; Sol Duc offers seasonal resort-pool sessions; Olympic Hot Springs has a road-washout approach and untreated natural pools. None is a simple downtown soak. Compare the actual route, season and access conditions before considering price or straight-line proximity.

Hot springs near Reno, Nevada.

Reno provides a base for three distinct managed experiences: appointment-based mineral bathing at Steamboat, walk-in pools in Carson City and reserved day or evening passes at Sierra Hot Springs in California. Compare the actual admission product and operating days. This guide distinguishes the Nevada Carson venue from its namesake in Washington and keeps room rates separate from bathing prices.

Hot springs near Salt Lake City, Utah.

Decide whether you want a timed float inside a limestone dome, developed mineral pools in Honeyville or a farther Idaho pool outing. The Crater, Crystal and Bear River offer distinct settings and admission arrangements. Seasonal slides are not the same as year-round hot-pool access, and a one-hour appointment does not necessarily mean an hour in the water.

Hot springs near Vancouver, British Columbia.

Public bathing from Vancouver needs an honest geography check. Sloquet is a remote mainland forest-road trip; Hot Springs Cove is a Vancouver Island coastal excursion that needs a separate island journey and is best planned as a longer escape. These two alternatives are selected for their verified public-visit arrangements, not because both are short drives from the city. Harrison’s five resort pools are guest-only, and Tsek still posts closure. Choose the approach and access arrangement that fit the trip you intend to make.

Hot springs near Calgary, Alberta.

Choose between two developed Columbia Valley pool visits and a natural spring reached by a gravel forest road. Radium, Fairmont and Lussier are alternatives for a mountain trip from Calgary; their short straight-line map distances cross mountain terrain and do not establish a short drive or a one-day loop. Check the actual road route and the bath’s operating notice before choosing an overnight base.
