A full closure differs from a facility restriction
Miette has a retained seasonal closure. Bear River keeps hot pools listed while slides and the Olympic pool close for winter. Hot Sulphur’s seasonal swimming-pool notice is narrower than a closure of its mineral pools. Read which facility is affected.

Read the road and final approach separately
Goldmyer’s current operator report requires an appropriate high-clearance AWD/4WD vehicle to reach its trailhead and a final five-mile approach each way. Olympic’s vehicle closure adds substantial road/trail travel. A map pin near a road does not establish that you can drive there.

Check weather-sensitive water and trails
Arizona Hot Spring has an annual summer trail closure and additional heat or flood restrictions. At Hot Springs Cove, BC Parks warns about high tides and swells; Lussier warns against visiting when the trail is icy. A nominal operating season does not settle the day’s access.
Use the review date as a starting point
Recheck the operator or land manager before departure. An old maintenance notice may need a verified reopening, and a scheduled future closure is not a statement that a venue is closed now. Keep the booking, route and weather checks attached to the actual travel date.

Does a closed road always mean the hot spring is closed?
No. Olympic Hot Springs has a vehicle closure beyond Madison Falls and a backcountry approach. That does not turn it into an easy or unrestricted trip; use current park route guidance before deciding to go.
